Begin with the notification and access protocol

A useful scope identifies the notification, monitoring-provider information, and who may authorize attendance or site access. It records the property address, alarm areas, access instructions, credential process and decision-making contacts. Niibawi works from the agreed protocol so the response role is understood before an alarm occurs.

Set escalation and handoff expectations

The written plan should specify which observations call for client, monitoring-provider or public-emergency-service contact. It should make clear that the owner or responsible party retains decisions about the property, system, repairs and next steps. A response may involve an agreed on-site observation and documented handoff; it does not transfer that authority.

Supervision and reporting belong in the scope

Before deployment, confirm the supervisor or client contacts, reporting format, notification thresholds and the process for updating the protocol after a site change. Discuss what is to be recorded, who receives the record and how an unresolved concern is handed over. This creates a more accountable service arrangement rather than relying on assumptions during an after-hours call.

Information for an alarm-response quotation

Provide the site location, monitoring-provider contact process, alarm information relevant to the assignment, authorized-access arrangements, intended coverage period, escalation contacts, reporting requirements and any property-specific safety instructions. Call Niibawi Security in Ottawa at 613-228-2837 or email info@niibawi.com for enquiries across Canada. Availability, staffing and final duties are confirmed per project.

Questions, answered.

Is alarm response the same as police response?

No. Alarm response is a project-defined security process. It is not police response and provides no guaranteed Niibawi or public-emergency-service arrival time. For immediate threats to life or safety, call the appropriate emergency service.

Is alarm response included with mobile patrol?

Not automatically. Mobile patrol and alarm response are separate service discussions. If alarm response is needed, the notification process, access authority, escalation, reporting and availability should be expressly confirmed in the project scope.
